Studying other questions here on SO, I think there is no way to produce a single EXE that includes the JRE. How can I automate the generation of the standalone executable in maven? I want a single exe if possible. The problem is, I want to export a single executable for my application which also embeds the necessary JRE in itself (so there would be no need to have a JRE installed on the target machine). It also created the jar file in /target directory. The project actually compiles and packages just fine. I've imported the maven project in Eclipse. I'm following the tutorial here and using openjdk 11.0.2 and javafx-sdk-11.0.2.
